Program Offerings

EMP Training and On-Site Treasure Hunts

The EMP Program supports businesses interested in adopting energy management practices by offering training sessions and on-site treasure hunts.

Energy auditors and program coaches will provide educational sessions throughout the training, which will focus on system analysis, operational best practices, and business strategies to sustain and increase energy savings.

Treasure hunts are facilitated events that highlight low- and no-cost operational adjustments, immediate and long-term capital upgrades, and strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This effort involves the following:

  • Energy auditors will conduct a thorough site walk, seeing all main systems and end uses.
  • Facility staff members will engage in discussion with the EMP team about current important O&M activities such as ongoing projects, procedures, and issues.
  • An opportunity register will be created for participants that lists, ranks, and offers implementation details for cost-saving possibilities for cost savings found in the energy consumption study supplied by auditors.
