EDI Test Schedules
ESCO/Marketers interested in becoming EDI compliant with RG&E must meet the following requirements:
- Be approved by New York State Department of Public Service as an Energy Service Company (ESCO).
- Meet NYS Department of Public Service Commission electronic data interchange (EDI) Phase 1 certification for core and single bill (if applicable) for utility bill ready (UBR) transactions.
- Electric ESCOs must be registered and approved with the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO)
- Provide all documentation required; refer to appropriate checklist below:

Successfully complete Phase III testing with RG&E.
RG&E will perform testing with up to six ESCO/Marketers in one test batch. This testing group is referred to as a "batch." The schedule for RG&E 's EDI test batches is below. To request enrollment in one of the available test batches, email RG&E Supplier Relations at supplier_relations@rge.com more than 30 days prior to the start of the test batch.
* If ESCO/Marketer changes their EDI Service Provider to an EDI Service Provider that is not Phase 1 certified, the ESCO/Marketer will need to recertify Phase 1.

The duration of testing depends on the ESCO’s EDI Service Provider. ESCOs using an already established EDI Service Provider at RG&E may complete testing in as little as one day, while an ESCO using a new EDI Service Provider to RG&E may complete testing in approximately six weeks (three weeks core testing; three weeks single bill testing).
