RG&E Appoints New Vice President of Hydro and Electric Operations
New addition will strengthen electric operations leadership team
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — February 16, 2026 — Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) has appointed Courtney Allen as its vice president of hydro and electric operations.
Courtney has 20 years of experience in operations, design, maintenance, and construction within substation, transmission, distribution, generation, and distributed generation facilities. He has worked most of his career for Exelon, recently serving as director of Training and Methods and previously as Director of Regional Electric Operations for PECO (Philadelphia Electric Company). A professional engineer, Courtney holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering and is certified in engineering management. He began his career in the trades working as a residential Electrician. He is also an engaged community member, committed to cultivating the next generation of leaders through his work as a mentor and board member, and he has been recognized for his volunteering impact.

In this role, Courtney will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the New York Hydro Plants and the RG&E electric grid, including field planning and design, substation operations, vegetation management, and the implementation of grid investments to ensure safe and reliable power for our customers.
