Planned Outages Begin This Week for Sodus Customers as RG&E Makes Circuit Upgrades

Scheduled outages will take place over several days; upgrades to help reduce outages in the Sodus area 

 

  Motorists reminded to slow down as crews are working 

  

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — June 25, 2025 — Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) is scheduling planned outages in the Sodus area beginning June 25. Crews will be performing circuit work upgrades related to substation 210. This work will help reduce outages that customers have experienced in the area. 

The planned outages will impact the circuit that follows Maple Avenue, Lake Road, and Middle Road. This work will occur in segments, impacting customers on scheduled days. Disruptions to service are expected to last approximately 4 to 5 hours.

  • Segment 1 – June 25 – Maple Avenue, south of Rt. 104, Belden Avenue, Spring Street, and Danford Street from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (weather delay date of June 26, 2025, or next clear day)  

  • Segment 2 – June 25 – Maple Avenue, north of Route 104 and south of Mud Lane from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (weather delay date of June 26, 2025, or next clear day)  

  • Segment 3  - June 26 – Maple Avenue, north of Mud Lane to Lake Road from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (weather delay date of June 27, 2025, or next clear day)  

  • Segment 4 – June 26 – Lake Road at Maple Avenue, to just west of and including Dufloo Road from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (weather delay date of June 27, 2025, or next clear day)  

  • Segment 5 – June 27 –  Lake Road, west of Dufloo Road from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (weather delay date of June 28, 2025, or next clear day)  

  • Segment 6 – June 27 – Middle Road, from Maple Avenue from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (weather delay date of June 28, 2025, or next clear day)  

Dates are subject to change and are weather-dependent. Construction activities will be conducted during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with weekend work occurring only on an as-needed basis. There are no planned road closures, but motorists could encounter lane closures and traffic flagging and should use caution on the road as crews are working.
