RG&E electricity and/or natural gas customers can purchase energy supply from RG&E or one of many other suppliers, also known as energy services companies or ESCOs.
RG&E is your energy delivery company. Whether you purchase your electricity and/or natural gas supply from RG&E or a supplier other than RG&E, RG&E will continue to deliver your energy, safely and reliably. If your power is interrupted, you have a natural gas emergency or you have questions regarding your energy delivery service, RG&E will be there for you.

Your electricity energy price is made up of delivery, supply and transition charges. The delivery charge is what you pay RG&E to transport energy to you over our pipes and power lines and is a fixed charge with any supply option you choose. The supply charge is what you pay RG&E or an alternate supplier (ESCO) for the energy you use. The transition charge reflects the costs of making the energy industry more competitive and may be fixed or variable depending upon the pricing option you choose.
- Electricity customers can buy electricity supply from RG&E at fixed or variable prices, or from an alternate supplier (ESCO).
- Natural gas customers have the opportunity to purchase natural gas supply either from RG&E or from an alternate ESCO (also called gas marketers).
