NYSEG and RG&E Will Plant Nearly 15,000 Trees
Thanks to Customer Response to Paperless Billing Promotion
Rochester, NY (May 19, 2011) – NYSEG and RG&E’s offer to plant a tree for every customer who signed up for paperless e-Bill service in April struck a chord with customers. The companies will partner with the Arbor Day Foundation and its members to plant 14,798 trees in New York communities as a result of customer signups for the free electronic billing service.
"We are delighted with the customer response to our e-Bill promotion,” said Mark S. Lynch, president of NYSEG and RG&E. “As a company we are committed to environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices and how these practices may affect present and future generations. We strive to conduct our business and facility operations in a manner that is indicative of our deep-seated respect for the environment.”
Just because the April promotion is over doesn’t mean that it’s too late to take advantage of the environmentally-friendly e-Bill service or other convenient bill-paying options. RG&E customers can learn more about e-Bill service and other payment options here.
