Meter Reading Reminder Service
When you participate in RG&E's Meter Reading Reminder Service, you can choose how often you wish to receive a meter reading reminder from the following options:

Interim Month - The popular choice for customers when meter(s) are accessible on the months that RG&E reads. For this option, a reminder will be sent 6 times a year, on the months we do not read your meter(s). Your bill would reflect actual (company) readings and customer readings.

Bi-monthly - The choice for customers when meter(s) may not be accessible* on the months that RG&E reads. For this option, a reminder will be sent 6 times a year, on the months we would normally read your meter(s). Your bill would reflect customer readings and estimated** readings.

Monthly - The choice for customers when meter(s) may not be accessible* on the months that RG&E reads. For this option, a reminder will be sent 12 times a year each month. Select this option if we're unable to access the meter(s) and you wish to avoid estimated** bills. Your bill would reflect customer readings.

*     It is a Public Service Commission requirement that we read meters at least once a year to verify readings and to make sure       meters are working properly.

**   RG&E estimates your usage for billing purposes when we are unable to obtain an actual reading. The estimate may be done            manually or by computer. Estimates take into consideration recent weather and your historical energy usage. Any differences       are made up the next time we obtain an actual reading.
